Orange County Water District – Public Information Platform
Website redesign for the Orange County Water District (OCWD), focused on clear, accessible communication of complex water management information for residents, stakeholders and the broader public.
Before

Project overview
OCWD manages the sustainable groundwater basin that supplies water to millions of people in central and northern Orange County, California, and needed a website that could communicate vital information about water quality, resource management and public services clearly and credibly.
After

The redesign focused on improving the clarity of information architecture, making key resources such as water supply data, educational content and district news more discoverable and understandable for a diverse audience. A primary goal was to strengthen transparency and civic trust by making complex technical content easy to navigate and relevant to everyday users.

Role & outcome
My role encompassed UX strategy, content structuring and interface design to support public understanding of OCWD’s mission and services. As part of the redesign, the previously separate GWRS website was merged into the main OCWD platform, receiving its own dedicated menu entry and a fully integrated position within the overall information hierarchy.
This consolidation made it possible to present water supply, treatment and replenishment as one coherent system, significantly improving discoverability and strengthening transparency around how water resources are managed and funded.
Role: Art direction and UX design.
